Job Description
Distribution Clerk
Prepare/process all distribution paperwork by following guidelines and procedures
Responsible for pulling, packaging and shipping Shower Drain product orders.
Responsible for processing all UPS shipments.
Create delivery notes.
Arrange for carriers; prepare required shipping documents; change status of order from "open" to "closed" (ready for invoicing) after order is shipped.
Compares identifying information of incoming and outgoing shipments to verify information against bills of lading, invoices, orders, or other records.
Verify all incoming pulled orders paperwork is properly completed and correct with Distribution Supervisor.
Maintain shipping databases.
Attach copy of outgoing shipping paperwork to associated customer invoice; forward to Accounts Payable Department.
Follow company policies and procedures.
Other duties as assigned or directed by Plant Manager/Supervisors.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
High school diploma or general education degree (GED);
Must have experience using Microsoft Suite products.
Must have forklift skills
ADDITIONAL ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.
Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
Ability to write simple correspondence.
Ability to add and subtract two-digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10's and 100's.
Ability to perform these operations using units of American money and weight measurement, volume, and distance.
Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT:
Occasionally required to stand or walk.
Continually required to sit and work on a computer.
Continually required to utilize hand and finger dexterity.
Frequently required to talk or hear.
$17-19 per hour
