Job Description


Inova Staffing Services is currently seeking candidates for an Assembler position here in Willoughby, OH. We are looking for someone who has had prior experience working in an assembly position but are open to individuals wanting to learn. Ideal candidates should have experience in inspection, packing, punch press machines and reading simple blue prints. You should also feel comfortable using hand tools and have a great eye for attention to detail.  

 

1st Shift 6:00-2:30 Monday-Friday  

Up to $19/hr. 

 


ESSENTIAL ADA DUTIES

1. To set-up and run product routed through any one of our companies work centers using appropriate material, methods, and procedures


Typical aspects of this job include but are not limited to the following:

a Assembles or packs, or wraps units per production order, drawings, and specification sheets insuring compliance with all quality standards.

b. Inspects all components for compliance with quality standards and reports non-compliance to supervisor.

c. Reports all material, carton, and packaging shortages or discrepancies to supervisor immediately.

d. Repairs damaged products as required.

e. Stamps assembled unit with assigned number upon completion of operation.

f. Makes final inspection of unit before packaging and cleans dirt, finger prints, etc. off units.

g. Wraps, packs and labels products according to drawings and/or specification sheets.

h. Handles inventory of component parts, repaint lists, labeling of units prior to assembly.

i. Set up and operate drill presses and countersink machines

j. Saws and rivets sheet metal as routed.

k. Count parts and record as appropriate.

l. Moves parts in and out of area as required and records location as appropriate.




2. To process all customer returns per established procedures, and process show product.

Typical aspects of this job include but are not limited to the following:

a. Maintain in numerical order a file of all authorization returns.

b. Check in all returns on RMR forms.

c. Keep RMR weekly log sheet and turn into office every Friday at quitting time.

d. Inspect and list condition of items returned and maintain appropriate follow up files.

e. Get disposition of items returned from front office.

f. Repack and label all saleable items and put into stock using appropriate product handling equipment.

g. Disassemble product that has to be reworked and deliver to proper departments using appropriate product handling equipment and notify foreman of what has to be done.

h. Scrap parts that cannot be reworked in proper scrap containers after receiving proper disposition.

i. Repack and rewrap small quantities of parts that are in RMR department.

j. Report material to the system when it is put back into stock.




3. To handle all storeroom required activities.

Typical aspects of storeroom include but are not limited to the following:

a. Receive and check all items for the storeroom and properly stores them.

b. Enter items received into the system and delete from the system as used.

c. Prepare orders for all departments and fill out necessary requisitions.

d. Write requisitions to purchasing for tape, sandpaper, gloves, etc.

e. Distribute stock to departments as needed.

f. Determine method of storage, identification, location, etc. for storeroom items.

g. Cycle count as assigned.







4. Report to designated supervisor or lead person for day's assignments.




5. Fills out all time sheets or enter into computer completely and accurately all required information for labor done and all material, components, and product moved.




6. Observes all personal and equipment safety rules.




7. Reports any problems to supervisor or lead person.




8. Reports to supervisor or lead person at completion of each assignment for new assignment.




9. Keeps work area clean.




10. Maintains appropriate quality level for all work by checking material and/or product for obvious defects before starting a job, checking quality of work during the job, checking quality upon finishing the job, and notifying a lead person or supervisor anytime a quality issue arises. (Further information on quality for this job may be included in number 1.)




11. Assist, as required, in training people new to position in duties that are part of the job
