Shift: 2nd Shift (3:30pm-12:15am)MUST TRAIN ON 1ST 6:30-2:45Position Summary:
The 2nd Shift Warehouse Lead is responsible for overseeing daily operations within the Shredder Department, ensuring safe, efficient, and compliant processing of materials. This role leads all 2nd shift warehouse staff, coordinates workflow, and maintains productivity and quality standards during the second shift.Key Responsibilities:

The 2nd Shift Warehouse Lead is responsible for overseeing daily operations within the Shredder Department, ensuring safe, efficient, and compliant processing of materials. This role leads all 2nd shift warehouse staff, coordinates workflow, and maintains productivity and quality standards during the second shift.Key Responsibilities:
- lead 2nd shift employees in the Shredder Department, including machine operators and general labor staff
- Oversee shredding operations to ensure materials are processed safely, efficiently, and according to company standards
- Monitor equipment performance and coordinate maintenance or repairs as needed
- Enforce all safety policies, procedures, and OSHA regulations; conduct regular safety checks and training
- Manage workflow, staffing, and shift priorities to meet production goals and deadlines
- Track and report production metrics, downtime, and operational issues
- Ensure proper documentation of processed materials and inventory movement
- Train, coach, and evaluate team members; provide performance feedback and corrective action when necessary
- Coordinate with other departments (logistics, maintenance, management) to ensure smooth operations
- Maintain a clean, organized, and compliant work environment
- High school diploma or GED required; associate or bachelor’s degree preferred
- 2–5 years of warehouse or manufacturing experience, with supervisory experience strongly preferred
- Experience with industrial shredding equipment or recycling operations is a plus
- Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
- Knowledge of safety regulations and best practices in a warehouse environment
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, physically demanding environment
- Basic computer skills for reporting and documentation
- Ability to stand, walk, and lift up to 50 lbs regularly
- Comfortable working around heavy machinery, noise, and varying temperatures
- Industrial warehouse setting with exposure to dust, noise, and moving equipment
- Required use of personal protective equipment (PPE)
- Availability to work 2nd shift hours consistently, with overtime as needed
- Reliable attendance and strong work ethic
