Job Description

JOB DESCRIPTION
Inova Staffing is currently seeking a skilled and experienced Color Matcher in Lakewood, Ohio. As a Color Matcher, you will be responsible for matching colors with speed and accuracy to meet customer expectations and support production goals.DETAILS
  • Shift: 2nd Shift – Monday-Friday
  • Hours: 3:00 PM – 11:00 PM
  • Pay: $16.00/hour
RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Match a variety of color types submitted by customers, including:
    • Gloss, satin, flat, metallic, stain, mearls/pearls, fluorescent, and nutshell finishes
  • Use color-matching equipment and tools such as:
    • Spectrophotometer, computer, matching software, light booth, gloss meter, scales, mixers, drum lift, and lacquer dispenser
  • Perform all steps in the color matching process:
    • Formulation, batching, corrections, and retouching
  • Provide the correct batch size of lacquer to the Coating Department for each job
  • Store and handle all color materials and tools properly
  • Accurately enter production data into the Logic system
  • Document formulas and other key information to improve future matching efficiency
  • Handle and store hazardous materials safely and follow all EPA/OSHA procedures
REQUIRED SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
  • Strong color recognition (a keen "color eye")
  • Sound judgment and decision-making ability
  • Fast learner with strong retention skills
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • Prior experience in a production-focused environment
  • Creative problem-solving abilities
