Job Description

Our client located in Cleveland is looking for a Director of Quality! This is a Direct Hire!REQUIREMENTS/MUST HAVES:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required
  • Bachelor’s degree in quality or related field
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in manufacturing with supervisory experience
  • 3-5 years of statistics, Six Sigma or other analysis experience preferred.
  • Extensive knowledge and experience in ISO
  • Fastener experience is helpful, but not necessary.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Ensure compliance with customer requirements, quality policy, company standards, regulatory and external standards. i.e., RoHS, Prop 65, CBAM, PFAS, PIP, REACH, TSCA, CMRT, EMRT
  • Develop and maintain the Quality Management System
  • Validates quality processes by establishing product specifications and quality attributes; measuring production; documenting evidence; determining operational and performance qualifications; writing and updating quality assurance procedures.
  • Develop and implement the Quality led APQP activities specified within company process to assure quality from concept to production.
  • Effectively interact with Production and Engineering teams to maintain product supply and the introduction of new parts.
  • Develop technical and management systems.
  • Sets Quality compliance objectives and ensures that targets are met.
  • Maintain and improve product quality by completing product, company, system, compliance, and surveillance audits; investigating customer complaints; collaborating with other members of management to develop new product and engineering designs, and manufacturing and training methods.
  • Assess the product specifications of the company and its suppliers and shall compare them with the customer requirements.
  • Facilitate analysis and coordinates activities related to process/system improvements.
  • Communicate with other managers to coordinate operations and activities.
  • Maintain operations data and prepare productivity/quality reports for management.
  • Assist in making final determinations or dispositions related to non-conforming materials.
  • Monitor indicators related to ensuring employees conform to production or processing standards.
  • Implement measures to improve inspection methods, equipment/tool performance, product quality, efficiency, and morale.
  • Lead in the implementation and maintenance of company written Quality and SOPs.
  • Conduct Annual Department Personnel Performance Reviews
  • ISO Management Representative
  • Manage Internal & External Audit Process
  • Preventative Maintenance on all Quality Gages/Tools.
SECONDARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Works directly with suppliers to ensure compliance of supplied materials.
  • Works directly with customers to support quality requirements.
  • Works with purchasing staff to establish quality requirements for external suppliers.
  • Communicate with employees and/or management to address employee suggestions or problems.
  • Generate requisitions for material, supplies, equipment parts, or repair services based on planned needs.
  • Coach and manage staff to cross train in all positions within the department.
