Job Description

Industrial Metals processing facility seeking Equipment Operator / Processor.

The business is a metal recycling facility where scrap metals are broken down and shredded with industrial machines to client order specifications.

Individual will be responsible for all aspects of the recycling process; Unloading shipments of materials, sorting of materials, quality control of finished product, and safe handling and transportation of materials. Forklifts, tow motors, backhoes, and other industrial equipment are utilized to load, unload, and transport materials throughout the facility. Industrial shredding machines are utilized, and constant quality checking of finished goods is required. Finished goods may need sorted, inventoried, transported, and or held for further processing depending on client’s request.

Pay & Hours:
  • 1st Shift starting at $19/HR 6AM-2:30PM, Monday – Friday
  • 2nd Shift starting at $19/HR 2:30PM-11PM, Monday - Friday

Responsibilities Include:
  • Prior industrial work experience and safe practice knowledge is required
  • Forklift / Tow Motor / Backhoe Loader experience preferred, but no required
  • Steel-toe or composite safety-toe shoes are required
  • Ability to stand for entire shift
  • Ability to regularly lift and move up to 50 pounds
  • Quality control visually inspecting and sorting finished materials as needed
  • Communication skills are crucial with coworkers and department leaders
  • Comfortable with hot/cold environment. Some temperature control, but the site may be colder in winter and warmer in summer
  • Other related tasks as assigned
