Electrician/ Maintenance Technician
Pay: Starting at $27
Monday-Saturday 7am-3:30pm
The Maintenance Technician will be responsible for the proper servicing and maintenance of equipment. Maintenance Technicians are judged by the quality of their work and by their attitude toward fellow workers, supervisors, and employer. A good technician takes pride in doing high quality work. An accurate and complete job is expected in every way.

QUALIFICATIONS
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
Associate's degree (A.A.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school; and/or up to 18 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination and experience.
LANGUAGE SKILLS
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before small groups.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.
REASONING ABILITY
Ability to apply common sense understanding to cany out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand. The employee is occasionally required to walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; and talk or hear. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
WORK ENVIRONMENT
The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job.
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to moving mechanical parts. The employee is occasionally exposed to high, precarious places; outside weather conditions; risk of electrical shock; and vibration. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.,
Be punctual; take an interest in your work with a desire to learn.
Cooperate with all employees.
Plan and organize work efficiently.
Be resourceful and conserve materials.
Use initiative and leadership.
Practice safe working procedures at all times.
Visually inspect and listen to machines and equipment to locate causes of malfunctions.
Dismantle machines and equipment to gain access to problem area.
Inspect and measure parts to detect wear, misalignment, or other problems.
Remove and replace worn or defective parts of drive mechanism or hydraulic system
Realign and adjust components such as spindles and clutches.
Program the machines to Ensure a high-quality product is produced.
Locate damaged air and hydraulic pipes on machine, and measure, cut, thread, and install new pipe.
Start machine and equipment to test operation following repair.
Repair and/or replace broken parts.
Set up and operate metalworking tools such as lathe, drill press, or grinder, to make repair parts.
Fill out requisite paperwork for work orders.
Clean up area, tools and equipment when done.
Properly operate welders and blow torches.
Troubleshoot electronics on equipment.
Basic electrical wiring.
Basic pipe fitting.
