$18.00+ per hour (based on experience)
1st Shift – 10am-6pm, training hours are 8am-5pmCompany Overview: Our client, a well-established manufacturer in Mentor, OH, is seeking an experienced  Material Handler  to join their 1st shift team. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys staying active, operating equipment, and playing a key role in keeping production running smoothly.Position Summary: The Material Handler is responsible for safely moving raw materials and finished goods throughout the facility using a forklift and tow motor. This position plays a critical role in supporting production by ensuring materials are delivered accurately and on time.Candidates must have at least 1– 2 years of prior forklift/tow motor experience.Key Responsibilities:
  • Operate a forklift and tow motor safely and efficiently.
  • Load and unload trucks, verifying materials against shipping documents.
  • Move raw materials to production areas and transport finished goods to designated storage areas.
  • Supply production lines with necessary materials to prevent downtime.
  • Perform routine equipment inspections and report maintenance needs.
  • Maintain accurate inventory records and assist with cycle counts.
  • Keep work areas clean, organized, and compliant with safety standards.
  • Follow all company safety guidelines and operating procedures.
Skills & Qualifications:
  • Minimum of  1– 2 years of forklift and/or tow motor experience  required.
  • Prior manufacturing or warehouse experience preferred.
  • Ability to read and understand shipping documents and job orders.
  • Basic math and inventory skills.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety.
  • Reliable, dependable, and able to work independently or as part of a team.
