Our client located in Brookpark is searching for a Plant Manager! This is a Direct Hire!

Key Responsibilities:
  • Operational Leadership: Oversee daily manufacturing operations to ensure efficiency, quality, and safety standards are met.
  • Production Management: Develop and implement production schedules to meet customer demand while maximizing productivity.
  • Quality Assurance: Ensure all products meet high-quality standards and comply with regulatory requirements.
  • Team Leadership: Manage, mentor, and develop production and warehouse staff to foster a culture of continuous improvement, accountability, and teamwork.
  • Safety & Compliance: Enforce company policies and procedures to maintain a safe working environment and comply with OSHA, FDA, and other regulatory standards.
  • Cost Control & Efficiency: Optimize labor, materials, and equipment usage to improve operational efficiency and reduce waste.
  • Continuous Improvement: Drive lean manufacturing initiatives, process improvements, and automation strategies to enhance productivity.
  • Equipment & Maintenance: Ensure proper maintenance and functionality of all manufacturing equipment to minimize downtime.
  • Inventory & Supply Chain: Lead procurement and logistics teams to ensure adequate supply of raw materials and timely distribution of finished products.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with Sales, Quality Assurance, R&D, and other departments to align production with company objectives.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, Food Science, or a related field preferred, but not required.
  • 7+ years of experience in food manufacturing or production management, preferably in the confectionery industry.
  • Experience in managing/producing a portfolio of over 300 sku’s
  • Strong leadership and team-building skills with a proven track record of managing production teams.
  • Knowledge of food safety regulations, Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), HACCP, and OSHA requirements.
  • Experience with lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, or other process improvement methodologies.
  • Excellent problem-solving, decision-making, and analytical skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with employees at all levels.
  • Proficiency in ERP systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
