Job Description

Inova Staffing is seeking a skilled Quality Inspector for one of our clients in Solon. This is a direct hire position on second or third shift.
Shifts:
2nd (3pm-11pm Monday-Friday, optional OT)
3rd (11pm-7am Sunday-Thursday, optional OT)
Pay: $32.50 + shift differential
Primary Duties:
  • Conduct first-article inspections across manufacturing departments.
  • Review and verify all final dimensional characteristics prior to dispatch.
  • Generate and manage non-conformance reports, including tagging and documenting discrepancies.
  • Set up and operate gear and coordinate measuring machines to assess part quality.
  • Maintain and calibrate inspection gauges and testing equipment, ensuring they are correctly labeled and identified.
  • Collaborate with engineers and supervisors to enhance parts, processes, fixturing, and overall workplace organization.
  • Safely utilize overhead cranes and hoists for part movement and positioning.
  • Strictly follow safety protocols, including wearing appropriate PPE and adhering to 6S principles.
Required Qualifications:
  • A high school diploma or equivalent (GED).
  • Previous experience in a quality inspection role; gear inspection experience is highly desirable.
  • Proficiency with computers is a plus.
Tools & Equipment Used:
  • Hand and pneumatic tools, hoists, overhead cranes, various measuring instruments, and computers.
