Job Description
Our client located in Manitowoc, WI is looking for a Quality Manager! This is a Direct Hire!RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Perform product and process improvement to support customer success
- Develop documentation of new and existing manufacturing processes
- Work with Project Managers and production to determine and implement critical to process inspection points throughout processing
- Issuing nonconformance reports and providing details for disposition of nonconformances
- Handling corrective action requests including determination of root cause, implementation of corrective actions, and performance of follow-up activities
- Ability to manage positive customer relations
- Performance of audits to quality system for identification of deficiencies and improvements
- Process receiving inspections and validate material test reports to required specifications
- Train Quality System requirements to all Team Members of Business Units
- Develop and execute 1st article requirements
- Develop inspection plans for existing and new products
- Provide technical support for the production team utilizing knowledge of manufacturing equipment, assembly techniques, and quality control.
- Collecting and analyzing data to drive process improvements
- Provide training of team members on proper inspection techniques & blue print reading
- Develop tooling, fixtures, drawings and procedures working with internal resources as well as external vendors
- Experience with quality systems and ISO 9001:2015 standard
- Experience with codes AWS D1.1
- 3-5 years of quality experience in a manufacturing industry
- Preferred BS degree in areas related to manufacturing
- Preferred NDE/NDT Qualifications
- Preferred AWS CWI certification
- Demonstrated ability to lead and drive change through the organization.
- Proficiency with MS Office tools and inspection equipment
