Job Description

Our client located on the west side of Cleveland is looking for a Supplier Quality Assurance. This is a direct hire!The Goals and Challenges of this Role:
  • Provide technical support about supplier capabilities to production support.
  • Communicate the status of jobs at subcontractors to production support.
  • Perform supplier audits in accordance with the applicable specifications.
  • Process receiving inspection documentation and validating material test reports in accordance with the applicable specification(s).
  • Maintain the Approved Suppliers List (ASL).
  • Sending/reviewing Supplier Quality Surveys (3-year cycle), and yearly performance of Annual Reviews for each supplier on the ASL.
  • Approve purchase orders issued to suppliers
  • Collecting and analyzing data (quality, delivery & effectiveness of corrective actions) to drive supplier improvements.
  • Issue supplier corrective action requests including root cause analysis, containment actions, implementation of corrective and preventive actions, and performance of follow-up activities to determine effectiveness.
  • Perform internal calibrations and prepare Certificates of Calibration for measuring and test equipment.
  • Purchase new measuring and test equipment and manage its calibration status (e.g. perform internal calibration, prepare PO for subcontract calibration, or review manufacturer’s calibration certificate).
  • Streamline the internal calibration program to meet them min requirements of the ISO standard.
  • Update NCR report and communicate the status of open NCR’s to production support, including follow up and closing out open NCR’s prior to shipping.
What You Should Bring to this Role:
  • 3-5 years manufacturing, quality (especially ISO 9001:2015), or process improvement experience
  • Prefer BS degree in areas related to manufacturing, industrial engineering, and engineering technology
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and drive change throughout the organization.
  • Proficiency with MS Office tools and inspection equipment
  • Detail oriented, fast paced, and self-directed
  • Strong analytical, numerical, and reasoning abilities
  • Hands-on involvement in operations and strong communication skills
